This introduction to the public services provides you with a firm grasp on the basic knowledge of the industry, along with a wide range of skills and knowledge needed to further your studies and training.
This course is ideal if you want a career in one of the uniformed public services, including, the ambulance, emergency services, police, fire services, armed forces and local government.
This course is a progression route into a Public Services course at an advanced level or an entry-level role in the public services industry.
- Entry Criteria
To enrol on a Level 1 Diploma, applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and a commitment to developing the fundamental skills required for their chosen area of study. Typically, applicants will have:
- Studied a GCSE programme or be able to demonstrate that they are working at or towards Level 1.
Applicants without formal qualifications may be invited to complete an initial assessment in English and maths to determine the most suitable level of study.
