Meet Sobia, a former Access to Higher Education: Healthcare Professions student.
After being out of education for seventeen years and raising a family, Sobia decided she wanted to do something for herself. Despite being nervous to return to education, Sobia soon realised that the Access to HE course was full of students at different stages of their lives.
Sobia praises her time on the Access to HE course, in particular the support from the tutors in helping her develop her time management skills. This helped her feel completely prepared for her time at university, in which she now studies BSc Children and Young People’s Nursing. Sobia said: “Without the Access to HE course, I would be lost at university”.
Reflecting on her time at college, Sobia said: “My experience on the course was very positive and I made lots of lifelong friends. If I can do it with five children, then anyone can do it!”
