Last day to add an Extra choice in your application
From 2 July - 19 October 2026, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.

You can register and start your application in your UCAS Hub. Applications can not be submitted until 01 September 2026.
Completed undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS. You will need a reference before you can send your application.
Deadline for applications to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and for most courses in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine/science. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.
Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses
UCAS Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college, between 25 February and 01 July 2027. If you used all five of your choices on your original application and you’re not holding an offer, you’ll be able to add another choice using Extra.
