Barnfield College enjoyed a memorable evening at the Luton Apprenticeship Awards 2026, joining local employers, training providers and apprentices to celebrate outstanding achievement across the region. As sponsors of the Young Apprentice of the Year category, the College was proud to support an event that highlights the dedication and talent of Luton’s apprentices.
This year’s Young Apprentice of the Year award was presented to Kieran Davidson from TUI, who impressed judges with his commitment and professional growth.
Barnfield College was also delighted to see two of its own apprentices recognised on the night:
Daniel Chennells, Electrical Installation & Maintenance apprentice with Vita Electrical Ltd and winner of the Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering Apprentice of the Year award.
Keira Butler, Hairdressing Professional apprentice with New Images Hair & Beauty, who received a Highly Commended recognition in the Young Apprentice of the Year category.
Reflecting on their achievements, Georgina Munn, Head of Apprenticeships at Barnfield College, said:
“Huge congratulations to Daniel Chennells, who won the Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering Apprentice of the Year award — a fantastic achievement and a testament to his hard work, skill and commitment. Congratulations also to Keira Butler, who received one of only three Highly Commended recognitions across all categories. This reflects her dedication and passion for her apprenticeship. A special congratulations to Kieran Davidson, winner of the Young Apprentice of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by Barnfield College.”
The College extends its thanks to the employers who continue to support apprentices in developing their skills and confidence. The Awards once again showcased the strength of local talent and the positive impact apprenticeships have across Luton’s industries.
It was a proud evening for Barnfield College, and a celebration of the bright futures being built through apprenticeship training.
