  • Entry Criteria

    Successful completion of the Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork qualification or relevant prior knowledge or experience within the industry.

  • What will I study?

    You will learn how to build cavity walls with windows and door openings and build solid walls. You will be expected to reach a higher level of accuracy and construct more complex walls than Level 1.

    Areas of study include:

    • Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures
    • Construct solid walling incorporating isolated and attached piers
    • Construct thin joint masonry
    • Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries
    • Set out masonry structures
    • Understanding construction technology
    • Understanding information, quantities and communication with others
  • Future Prospects

    You may choose to progress on to a relevant Level 3 qualification or you may choose to seek an apprenticeship or employment.
