Skilled carpenters and joiners are highly sought after, you will follow a study programme that will include substantial practical workshop practice, theory sessions, English and mathematics lessons and work experience.
- Entry Criteria
4 GCSEs at grades 9–2, including English Language, and grade 3 or above in Maths.
Students who do not meet the entry criteria for the full Level 1 Diploma can be offered an alternative smaller Level 1 qualification.
The alternative programme is designed for those who have not yet achieved 4 GCSEs at grades 9–2, including English Language, and grade 3 or above in Maths but wish to develop their skills and knowledge within their chosen vocational pathway. The alternative qualification, delivered over one year, provides a supportive introduction to the subject and acts as a stepping stone towards progression onto the full Level 1 Diploma.
