IT is a constantly evolving sector with new jobs always coming available. This specialist work-related qualification is designed to develop technical knowledge and personal skills that are essential for success in IT.

  • Entry Criteria

    To enrol on a Level 1 Diploma, applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and a commitment to developing the fundamental skills required for their chosen area of study. Typically, applicants will have:

    • Studied a GCSE programme or be able to demonstrate that they are working at or towards Level 1.

    Applicants without formal qualifications may be invited to complete an initial assessment in English and maths to determine the most suitable level of study.

  • What will I study?

    Units covered in relation to the impact of Cyber Security, are Computer Programming, Fundamentals of Networking & security, Computer Systems, Information Technology for Business, Web Development and the Internet of Everything from these units learners will be aware of the dangers from, and impacts of, cyber security in a business environment.

  • Future Prospects

    You can progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Information and Creative Technology. You will continue to develop the skills needed to eventually work in specialisms such as: technician, games designer, support, internet/web professional and many more.
