This Level 1 qualification is a practical course that introduces basic carpentry skills. You’ll also learn the health and safety requirements for working in construction.

  • What will I study?

    This evening course is an ideal entry into the carpentry and joinery sector. The trade is suited to those who are practically minded, hands- on and are interested in training with wood-working techniques, materials and methods used in the industry. The course will give learners a good understanding of basic hand tool skills and basic woodworking joints.

    You will be required to bring steel toe cap boots to all lessons.

  • Future Prospects

    After completing this course, you could move onto further Construction courses at a higher level or onto a range of employment opportunities.
