Barnfield College has partnered with the University of Huddersfield Education & Training Consortium to provide professional teacher training courses for it’s local community in Luton and across Bedfordshire.

The Education and Training Consortium is a partnership of Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PCET) providers delivering professional Higher Education qualifications of recognised excellence. Each year, across all providers, the consortium provides thousands of staff and students in the education and training sector with professional development and qualifications.

This new partnership builds on Barnfield College’s ever-growing commitment to offer top-quality qualifications to individuals with a desire to work in the rewarding career of teaching, whether looking for a head-start into a first role in the education sector or advancing a career in the sector.

Michele Harding, Head of Higher Education at Barnfield College said: "We're incredibly excited about this new partnership with University of Huddersfield. At Barnfield College we're highly experienced in delivering Teacher Training qualifications, including the PGCE and CertEd. Our specialist tutors have taught and developed hundreds of aspiring teachers into practitioners within the education sector. The combination of our specialist tutors, state-of-the-art New Bedford Road campus and newly formed partnership with the University of Huddersfield means that our students will have everything they need to succeed and thrive."

Classes will take place at the new £30m campus located on New Bedford Road, Luton, packed with the latest teaching resources necessary to equip students with the highly sought-after skills needed to get them career-ready and meet the demands of the industry. Experienced teaching and support staff will also be on hand to provide students with the confidence, knowledge and practical skills imperative to succeeding in the industry.
