Public Services students recently had the opportunity to take part in a, hands-on workshop led by Major Julie Downing of the British Army.

The visit offered students a unique insight into the skills and qualities needed for a successful career in the armed forces. As part of the session, students took part in a skill matching activity to explore a variety of Army career paths, worked in teams to solve a challenging 'Cold Case' scenario, and tested their communication and trust in a blindfolded team-building task.

Major Downing shared her experience and knowledge of Army life, giving students a realistic view of roles, responsibilities, and progression opportunities within the armed forces.

A huge thank you to Major Julie Downing for delivering such an inspiring and interactive session that brought military careers into focus.
