If you are interested in securing your dream job in the sport and fitness industry, this course will provide you with the basic principles, key skills and foundational knowledge needed for a success career.

This course is a great stepping stone as a progression route into a Sports course at an advanced level or an entry-level role in the sport and fitness industry.

  • Entry Criteria

    To enrol on a Level 1 Diploma, applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and a commitment to developing the fundamental skills required for their chosen area of study. Typically, applicants will have:

    • Studied a GCSE programme or be able to demonstrate that they are working at or towards Level 1.

    Applicants without formal qualifications may be invited to complete an initial assessment in English and maths to determine the most suitable level of study.

    • Getting People Active

    Throughout the course, you will be taught through a combination of classwork, workshops, theory-based assignments and practical assignments. You are encouraged to undertake independent study to consolidate your learning and to broaden your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

  • Future Prospects

    This course will help you progress to a Level 2 qualification in Sport.

    Alternatively, if you would like to enter into employment, this course is a great stepping stone into an entry-level role withing the industry.
