This course provides an opportunity for those who have an interest in gaming to explore, develop and test their creativity within a qualification structure which is stimulating and demanding and provides a supportive transition from general to more specialised study.

  • Entry Criteria

    Grade 4 and above in GCSE English and maths and a minimum of two additional GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a strong Merit profile on a relevant Level 2 qualification.

    Don't meet the grades? Take a look at the Level 2 Diploma in Information and Creative Technology for a solid understanding of key areas - you will be able to progress to the Level 3 upon successful completion.

    Alongside your course you’ll study English and maths and take part in GAP work placements to develop your skills and confidence.

  • Future Prospects

    The majority of students completing the UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology (Games Design) will progress to the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology (Games Design). Some may progress to the Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Foundation Studies - Art & Design and some may progress into a range of entry-level roles in the gaming sector.
