Course introduction
If you are preparing to work in the brickwork industry, this course will help develop your existing skills and will introduce you to more advanced techniques. This course is designed to follow on from Level 1 where you will enhance your skills and further your knowledge of the brickwork trade.
Successful completion of the Level 1 Diploma or the relevant experience and skills.
You will learn how to build cavity walls with windows and door openings and build solid walls. You will be expected to reach a higher level of accuracy and construct more complex walls than Level 1.

• Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures
• Construct solid walling incorporating isolated and attached piers
• Construct thin joint masonry
• Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries
• Set out masonry structures
• Understanding construction technology
• Understanding information, quantities and communication with others
