Only fully funded learners can access this course. In order to meet funding requirements:
• 19-23 year old learners must already have a full Level 2 Qualification (or above) in any subject and must be unemployed
• 24+ students can do this course with or without a Level 2 Qualification (or above) and must be unemployed
• Learners should have a level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent
This qualification is for anyone who wishes to develop their knowledge and understanding of autism and how to support individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
The course duration is 31 weeks and requires four to five hours of study per week. Course start dates are flexible, but learners are expected to successfully complete the programme of study within the allocated timescale. This is an online distance learning course which means you can choose when and where you study.

Unit 1: Best practice relating to autism
Unit 2: Living with autism
Unit 3: Signs, symptoms and diagnosis of autism
Unit 4: Sources of information, support, legislation, and guidance relevant to autism
