Chef de partie at 2 Michelin star restaurant Sat Bains, Nottingham
Why did you choose Barnfield?
“I chose Barnfield because I wanted to take up Catering and it was the nearest to where I lived with professional kitchens.”
Why did you choose your particular course?
“I chose catering because I really enjoyed cooking at home. I studied Catering at school as a GCSE and really enjoyed that too.”
What do you remember most about your time here?
“When I went to Barnfield College I remember how helpful the Teachers were. The most important thing is they were really patient; I was rubbish at concentrating in theory lessons but I found the Teachers helpful.”

What are you doing now?
“Recently, I have landed myself a job at Sat Bains restaurant in Nottingham. It’s a 2 star restaurant serving modern British dishes and tasting menus plus workshops, Chef’s table and rooms.
“I went to Sat Bains early this year and completed a week ‘stage’ which resulted in a job offer. I really enjoyed the whole experience and can see myself developing into a great Chef. Within one week I learnt so much; it seems that they care about the staff almost like a family and that’s somewhere I would like to work.”
