How to access remote learning services

As Barnfield College moves to online delivery, please find below a helpful guide about how to access key services.

Microsoft Teams
Most of your tutor staff will be delivering classes via Microsoft Teams from Monday, please click here to open the application.

How to access Microsoft Teams

1. Once you have clicked the above link to the Microsoft Teams application, click the purple button that says ‘Download Teams’.

A download will begin in your download bar at the bottom of your web browser.

2. Once the download is complete, click the finished download icon displayed at the bottom of your web browser.

This will start up the application.

3. When you launch Microsoft Teams, the first display message should prompt you to type in your student e-mail and password.

Log in with your usual Barnfield College credentials to access your dashboard. Once logged on, you will be able to access the groups set up by your tutors.

Google Classroom

LRC and StudyPlus
Any outstanding StudyPlus sessions booked for the coming weeks will go ahead at the planned time, but will be delivered remotely. Please log in to Microsoft Teams and await a video call invitation from a member of the LRC staff.

Moodle
Tutors will be posting worksheets and other helpful documents on Moodle for students to use whilst working remotely. To log in please click here and use your usual college username and password.

GAP Work Experience
Please note all on-going work experience will be postponed until further notice. Please e-mail the GAP team on gapexperiences@barnfield.ac.uk if you have any questions.

Breo
If you are a Higher Education student, studying a Foundation Degree with Barnfield College, you can access the University of Bedfordshire’s online learning portal, Breo. Click here and use your email and password to log in.
