Hatter’s Heritage Roadshow heads to Barnfield College

on March 12, 2020

Last week Barnfield College hosted the Family Roadshow organised by historical society, Hatters Heritage, who are bringing together Luton Town FC fans through vintage artwork and merchandise.

The event was attended by more than 75 Lutonians, keen to share their iconic orange memorabilia.

Craig Billington, a member of the work experience team at Barnfield College explains: “Two of our Computing students are currently undertaking an industry placement with Hatters Heritage.

“They’ve been tasked with digitising the memorabilia brought in by Luton Town fans across the area and that’s what our event will help facilitate.”

Cameron, one of the students who has undertaken the industry placement, is working closely with club historian Roger Wash to help make a comprehensive archive of Luton Town FC merchandise.

He said: “We’re digitising all the pictures and items people bring in so they can be hosted on the Hatters Heritage website.

“We’ve seen things like newspapers, old boots and even branded scarves from seasons that date back near enough the start of the club!”
