Skills for Life

(Learning Difficulties)

If you’re working at entry level and need extra support with your learning, or have a learning difficulty, our Skills for Life programme can help put you on-track to your career aspirations.

Skills for Life is a programme built around you and your interests, so you can expect a personalised timetable at just the right level for you.

You’ll be taught in small groups by our highly experienced staff. They’ll help you develop independence skills, as well as giving you taster sessions across a range of subjects.

If you would like to apply for our Skills for Life programme at any level, please email admissions@barnfield.ac.uk. Our Admissions team will then pass your enquiry to our Skills for Life Lead.

All our students complete work experience, and many go on to study at the next level after the programme. Some of our previous students have even gone on to achieve degrees where their starting point was Skills for Life.

There are no formal entry requirements, but we’ll want to meet you for an interview and assessment.

By meeting you in person before you start, we can make sure we create an individual timetable for you.

If you would like to apply for our Skills for Life programme at any level, please email admissions@barnfield.ac.uk. Our Admissions team will then pass your enquiry to our Skills for Life Lead.
