Grade 4 and above in GCSE English and maths and a minimum of two additional GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a strong Merit profile on a relevant Level 2 qualification

You may choose to progress on to a relevant Level 4 qualification such as an HNC or Foundation degree in Childhood & Family Studies. You may choose university, or seek an apprenticeship or employment.
Additional Information
Because of the nature of the course you must not have been previously excluded from teaching or working with young people. If you are planning or applying to work with young people under 18 or vulnerable adults you will need to seek enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) clearance. This should be done through your employer but in some cases may be done through the College. You may be required to pay the fee for this.
This course will enable you to gain the knowledge and experience which will allow you to work with children from birth to five years and enter the workforce as an Early Years Educator or pursue Higher Education.
