The VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF) is a qualification that has been designed to introduce you to the complete range of practical hairdressing skills and will act as the foundation for you to progress onto the next level of vocational learning at Level 2. Throughout this qualification you will develop your skills of shampooing, blow-drying and styling women's hair. You will also develop your knowledge of different hair types and health and safety requirements and how to present yourself within the hairdressing industry. You will learn how to section hair effectively and how to apply temporary colour. These skills and knowledge will together prepare you for the next level of vocational study.
