Martin was the former Principal and CEO of Salford City College and latterly the Interim Principal of Gateway College, Leicester. Barnfield College is celebrating after winning the award in the ‘Training and Development’ category at the FSB Bedfordshire Business Awards 2016. The Training and Development Award recognises the vast improvements made within the Colleges’ Apprenticeships Services in the last year, having now achieved above sector average for successfully completed apprenticeship programmes.
Students at Barnfield College kept a steady pace, achieving pass rates on a par to 2015. The pass rate for 2015/16 sits at 77.3% for English Languages and 72.4% for maths. The College saw a greater number of enrolments this year, with twice as many students enrolled for English Language and almost triple, for maths.
