A message from the Principal: College campuses remain open as planned

on November 3, 2020

I want to confirm that – in line with the latest Government guidance – College campuses remain open for students at all levels, with course timetables running as planned. If there is any change to this we will always contact those affected directly.

Throughout these testing times we are encouraging all our students to remain focused on their long-term goals. The qualifications you achieve at College will be so important to your future – more than ever while the country recovers from the pandemic – and we have made the preparations necessary for you to continue with your course under all potential circumstances, either on-campus, online or a mixture of both.

This is a challenging time and it is understandable that you may be feeling anxious about what opportunities lay ahead. Things will get better and there remains much to look forward to for young people with good qualifications, skills and experiences.

We are working diligently to reduce the risks of Covid-19 by following all the Government guidance and maintaining a range of specific measures to protect the health and safety of everyone working and learning at the College.

Your Course

We’ll keep a close eye on the latest Covid-19 updates and stay in touch with students, parents and carers as information changes. We can adjust the mix of learning on campus and online at any point, making sure you don’t miss out.

We’ve already made some of the wider elements of College life available remotely, as well as online, so nothing will be off limits regardless of the situation with Covid-19.

You can access all our student support services and speak with a personal advisor in confidence about any matters you need help with. Should you require any help with your course Study Plus sessions will be available remotely and on campus.

The College’s online systems provide on-demand access for students studying remotely making it simpler to stay on track than ever before.  If you are required to study remotely your tutors will work closely with you to help you make the most of our online platforms and achieve your goals.

As well as the hub for all of your course’s important resources Canvas is the perfect place to stay up to date with all key college information. Login to Canvas here.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch via phone, email, our social media channels or webchat – whichever way suits you best.
