Opportunities for 14-16 year olds

At Barnfield College we offer a wide range of vocational courses for 14-16 year olds.

Pupils can work towards nationally accredited qualifications at Level 1 or Level 2, GCSEs or even Young Apprenticeships.

We also offer Bespoke Provision which means we can provide any training required.

Our nationally accredited qualifications cover a range of subject areas including hospitality and catering, construction, hairdressing, childcare and motor vehicle. Taking these practical courses can lead young learners into Apprenticeships and give them realistic job opportunities. All qualifications are accredited for teaching 14-16 year olds by QCA.

If there is a course you would like us to do that we don't currently offer, please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss potential opportunities.

GCSEs in Vocational Subjects

We can offer a range of GCSEs in subjects aimed at giving pupils knowledge of vocational learning and the working environment.  As a one off, or as a regular part of their GCSE curriculum, pupils can use our vocational or industry standard facilities to carry out projects or practical activities linked to their course.

Taster Sessions
To help pupils choose their options for Key Stage 4 we offer regular taster sessions in a wide range of subjects.

These tasters can help pupils choose a vocational course that will be part of their Key Stage 4 programme or help them choose the best options that will lead them into their chosen career post 16.

Sessions are customised to suit your school's requirements and planned at a time to suit your pupils.
