Prime Minister Names Barnfield as Outstanding School Leader

The Prime Minister Gordon Brown has named Barnfield as an outstanding school leader and awarded us the new Accredited Schools kite mark, enabling The Barnfield Federation to run chains of secondary schools.

In the announcement the Government noted some of Barnfield's outstanding successes by stating:

"Barnfield is a Beacon Further Education college, graded overall Outstanding by Ofsted and an IiP Champion. It sponsors two open Academies: the Barnfield West and Barnfield South Academy, which both opened in September 2007 and have raised results dramatically. Barnfield West was recently judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted."
