Awards for Police Cadets

A Barnfield College cadet instructor and three Barnfield students have been given special awards for their voluntary work.

They are Mark Beddow, senior cadet instructor at Barnfield College, Megan Geraghty, Luton's head police cadet, Kirsty Hunter, former head cadet and now special constable, Kelly Hayes, cadet section leader who has just been accepted into the special constabulary.

All received V Involved certificates of recognition for the hours spent on community services while members of Bedfordshire police and as representatives of Barnfield College.

Megan Geraghty was the first person in the UK to complete her NVQ in Public Services. Last year, she was presented with a special achievement award for her community service by Barnfield College.
