Airport Awards Day

Staff at London Luton Airport are winning awards with the support of Barnfield College.

Twenty-two members of its workforce have received prestigious Awards in First Line Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
The ILM courses were run at Barnfield's 24/7 airport training facility, one of the few on-site airport training centres in the country.

Certificates were presented by Glynn Jones, the London Luton Airport Managing Director, and Pete Birkett, Barnfield's Chief Executive and Chairman of Barnfield Academies, at a special event held at the pioneering training facility.
The award winners were: Jackie Bowry, Chad Doherty, Lynda Edwards, Gerard Francois, Ian Garratt, Pablo Gomez, Mark Graves, Del Hart, Karen Hartigan, Martyn Hooton, Melanie Horwood, Kirstien Howard, Matt Lee, Melanie Mattinson, Pete Meehan, Rose Muscella, Kamal Patel, Patrick Sammon, Stuart Sinclair, Stephen Stewart, Mick West, Sam Woodfield.

Barnfield College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Airport Operations.
Staff from easyJet, Monarch, Menzies, Servisair and the airport fire service have also trained at the Barnfield facility.
