Mark Rainbow from Luton, is Head Pastry Chef at Auberge du Lac in Brocket Hall, Welwyn Garden City and Chris Underwood has just started a new job at the Hibiscus as Head Pastry Chef.
The Hibiscus boasts two Mitchelin stars. Dale Ormston has just joined a brigade of 20 chefs who cater for the Queen and her family at Buckingham Palace.

The Brasserie at Barnfield and Café B
The department benefits from well resourced training and production kitchens and the newly refurbished The Brasserie at Barnfield offers an eclectic selection of English, French and international dishes and wines. For those who want to experience the ultimate in fine cuisine there are also gourmet themed events.
For a more relaxed option, just drop
into Café B and choose from the wide selection of home-made meals available from our cafe style menu produced from ingredients sourced from the suppliers in the local region.
The Brasserie at Barnfield and and Café B are run by our students under the watchful eye of our highly experienced and qualified team of professional tutors.

Conference Facility
Our newly refurbished conference facility is available for hire providing local employers with a professional environment for meetings and conferences. It is well equipped with the latest presentation tools and refreshments are provided by our full time students working towards industry standard qualifications.

Training Centre
The department purchased and equipped a training centre based at London Luton Airport. Staff at the airport can now gain access to a range of excellent training courses including the new Foundation Degree in Airport & Air Transport Management at times that fit in with their 24/7 working patterns.
