Health and Safety
At Barnfield we offer a range of courses to meet the needs of both local and national industries. The courses range from the ONCW Level 1 qualification which is suitable as an introduction to Health and Safety in the workplace to the CSCS Test which is a requirement for working on sites in the Construction Industry.
All the trade courses have a Core Unit which covers such areas as COSHH, PUWER and HASAWA along with sessions on safe working practices when using ladders and scaffolds.
Barnfield can also offer bespoke courses designed around the needs of individuals or organisations such as Updates on Machine Woodworking regulations.
Of course when students attend Barnfield they will find themselves working in industrial workshops where they will have the opportunity to practice what they have been taught in the classroom from carrying out risk assessments to implementing safety policies and using safe methods of working.
