We are a vibrant energetic team who have a lot of fun preparing the next generation of tradesmen for house and commercial building for the future.

The Department won a Certificate in Vocational Excellence, (C.O.V.E) in 2005 and has since been awarded Best Construction Training Provider for the East of England, confirming our ability to turn out the Best of the Best in construction.

Progression and Employment

Students from the department have gone on to achieve many higher qualifications- including Foundation and Honours Degrees, as well as jobs and contracts for some of the country's top employers such as: Neville's, CMC, Wilmot Dixon, Barrett, Wimpey Homes, to name but a few.

The Department currently has 300+ students and 24 full time, part time, and specialist tutors, ensuring you will get good quality time with your tutor.

Location

Based at Barnfields Technology Campus you will have access to all of the college's excellent facilities including a restaurant and crèche.
