Grade 3 or above in GCSE English and maths and two additional GCSEs at grade 3 or a full Level 1 qualification.

Additional Information
All students will be required to purchase a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kit and safety boots. The PPE kit will need to be purchased via the College for £40. Safety boots cost approximately £25 and can be purchased externally or via the College. All tools will be provided but students are welcome and encouraged to use their own hand tools. (Personal electrical power tools are not allowed for health and safety reasons).
ABOUT THE COURSE
This course will continue your training of the construction industry and Plastering trade. The aim of this course is to provide you with further training supporting your development of trade specific skills. Along with your construction element, the programme will support in developing your English and maths skills and give opportunity to gain some work experience in one area of construction. The Course consists of 12 units, which split into knowledge & practical delivery. Practical workshops are designed to give you simulated activities developing hand skills and these are assessed as you progress through your qualification. Your knowledge is assessed on completion of individual units by way of an online assessment. You will learn: - Health, safety and welfare - Information, quantities and communication - Construction technology - Form sand and cement screeds - Apply plaster materials to internal surfaces - Fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors - Apply render materials to external surfaces - Produce fibrous plaster components - Position and secure fibrous plaster components
