Additional Information
This is a City & Guilds Level 1 accounting qualification and candidates can progress to the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting.
This qualification is designed for learners seeking a first qualification in the practical use of computerised accounts. Students should have a view to enter employment or to gain skills using this application in their current role, and it would be an advantage for individuals to have an understanding of the terms used in basic bookkeeping. The aim of the qualification is to enable individuals to operate computerised accounts software to carry out routine accounting tasks. This will include the ability to create accounts, processing accounting information in the sales and purchase ledgers, understanding how to use batch control sheets and being able to produce accounting reports such as trial balance, customer activity reports and supplier details reports. All of this will be completed on Sage Accounting Software.
