Additional Information
The Art & Design department is known for its great quality workshops such as the Print room, 3D work shop, Laser cutter, TV Studio and Ceramic room. A gallery space is also allocated to students where opportunities are given for art work to be exhibited throughout the year. The Art & Design students will often collaborate with other creative disciplines such as Music, Media and Fashion. The purpose of these collaborations is to combine creativity in order to produce one effective outcome.
The UAL Awarding Body Level 2 Award in Art & Design has been developed to provide students with an interest in Art & Design with the opportunity to explore the materials, methods and processes that support Art & Design activities, and to begin to develop some related technical skills. · Unit 1: Introduction to materials, processes and technical skills in Art & Design · Unit 2: Introduction to contextual research in Art & Design · Unit 3: Introduction to drawing skills · Unit 4: Introduction to communication skills in Art & Design · Unit 5: Solving 2D creative problems · Unit 6: Solving 3D creative problems · Unit 7: Solving time-based creative problems · Unit 8: Developing and producing a personal project in Art & Design · Unit 9: Developing and producing a personal project in Art & Design
