Community

We are proud of our origins in Luton town. As the largest provider of further education in the Luton and Dunstable area, we also rank amongst the largest employers too. Our students, staff and partnerships all contribute towards the economic growth of the town and the region’s businesses, communities and citizens.

Barnfield College in the Community – Events

Throughout the year, we hold events at various venues in the area so that local people can meet with us and find out information about courses, finance, student services and more.

These events are alternative opportunities for people who cannot attend our campus Open Events, as our aim is to ensure everyone has the opportunity to access education.

Our first ever Community Event was held at Venue Central in September 2017.

We have since held Community Events at locations such as Farley Hill Community Centre, Lewsey Farm Community Centre, Luton Central Library and Futures House, Marsh Farm.

Community events are advertised on our website and social media, so to find out when our next one is, keep an eye on our website and follow our social media channels! You can find us on:

Community Courses

We offer various courses in the community, such as English for Speakers of Other Languages courses, so if getting to College isn’t easy for you, we’ll provide you with the same quality of teaching at a range of locations more convenient for you.

You can view a selection of Community courses on our website, however if what you are looking for is not listed, please contact us to enquire. You can call us on 015825 569 569 or drop us an email at admissions@barnfield.ac.uk.

Barnfield College Hate Crime Reporting Centre

In 2017, we announced that we have been selected to become a Hate Crime Reporting Centre.

This is a great privilege for us to be able to support the community in this capacity, something of which we are very proud. We have even featured on ITV News!
