Our students are solid gold
Four talented construction students from Barnfield College are polishing their medals after successes in a hard-fought eastern regional heat of the National SkillBuild competition.
David Hebbs, 19, took first place in brickwork and Philip Tamke, 17, won the plastering competition.
John Kinneavy, 18, was placed second and Jack O'Hara, 22, third in the painting and decorating section.
The regional heat was staged at North Herts College. The two winners will compete in the National SkillBuild finals being held on October 7-9 in Lanarkshire.
Barnfield College is a Centre for Vocational Excellence in House Building for the Future.
