I recently studied for the Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector to update my qualifications and as a refresher for the teaching I am currently doing. But, as I am a lot nearer to retirement than I am to starting my career in teaching, it was with some apprehension that I turned up for the first session.
Any concerns that I might have had however were dispelled by the approach of our course tutor. Anne clearly explained the course to us so that we all knew what was expected of us and how we would achieve the best possible outcome.
The feedback that we received from assignments was clear, concise, helpful and encouraging and was always positive in a way that made us feel that we had done a good job.
I am now able to implement the knowledge that I have gained from this course into my everyday teaching. I feel that I have become a better tutor, more confident and able to deal with the requirements of the job. I found the course enjoyable, stimulating, very worthwhile and rewarding.
